Back to Home
I adopted Sara in July 2001 from the Animal Rescue League of Boston, Salem Branch.  Yes, she is very cute, but also a character -- always into mischief.  Sara is a "tortie tiger," who likes chasing after feathers, watching squirrels, and attacking the scrolling text on CNN.
Over time, it became clear that Sara seriously needed a buddy, and in October 2002, I saw an ad on Craigslist.org (one of my favorite bulletin board sites) that caught my eye.  A really nice woman had found a cute little stray and needed to find a home for her.  She then brought Olivia up to Salem, and the rest is history!  Sure, there were a few hisses for the first couple of days, but I have to say that I have rarely seen two cats become buddies so quickly.  Here they are in Oct. 2002, sharing their common hobby -- watching squirrels!  Olivia is about 5 months old in this photo, and I think, quite happy to have a permanent home!
Here's Sara at about 3 1/2 months, enjoying her cozy home.
Here's Sarah at about 2 years, happy to have her new friend, Olivia.
Here's Olivia enjoying a nice nap... but of course once one kitty finds a place she likes to nap, the other wants it too.... it's pretty amusing to watch Olivia and Sara become "copy cats."
